Dog spa and ozone therapy, certified treatment on the French Riviera
A unique wellness treatment, performed with specialized equipment, in addition to our classic grooming.
Understanding care
What is ozone therapy?
Patapouf is one of the first salons to have offered ozone therapy on the French Riviera, a treatment performed with a specialized therapeutic bath.
Ozone therapy is a treatment with anti-inflammatory properties that involves diffusing ozone into the water, creating a purifying and disinfecting effect. Used in spas, this process offers numerous benefits: it eliminates bacteria and fungi responsible for irritations, promotes the healing of skin lesions, soothes itching, and stimulates blood circulation.
By strengthening the skin's natural defenses, it is particularly suitable for dogs prone to allergies or dermatitis, as well as those with dull coats.
A complete treatment that combines the health, well-being and beauty of the dog.
Equipment & Protocols
Our protocols and our equipment
The salon features a professional whirlpool bath, a €5,000 investment dedicated exclusively to this treatment. For situations requiring more intensive support, a 6- to 12-month protocol is offered. For maintenance, an annual session is generally sufficient.
Our legitimacy
Recognized expertise on the French Riviera
Among the few salons on the French Riviera to offer ozone therapy, Patapouf is one of only five establishments equipped with a bathtub for Iv San Bernard treatments. This approach is based on dedicated training and several years of experience.
FAQ
Your questions about the dog spa
How often are spa sessions recommended?
The frequency depends on your pet's needs.
In the event of a particular problem (alopecia, skin concern or other), a specific protocol is put in place with a session every 21 days.
In the absence of any problems, one spa session per year is sufficient for maintenance.
What are the benefits of ozone therapy?
Ozone therapy offers numerous benefits for the skin and coat of dogs.
Thanks to its anti-inflammatory, purifying, and disinfectant properties, it eliminates bacteria and fungi responsible for irritations, promotes the healing of skin lesions, soothes itching, and stimulates blood circulation. By strengthening the skin's natural defenses, it is particularly recommended for dogs prone to allergies or dermatitis, as well as those with dull coats.
It is a complete treatment that acts on the health, well-being and beauty of the animal.
Can my dog benefit from a spa treatment?
Unfortunately, not all dogs can enjoy the spa treatment. Dogs weighing over 25 kg cannot enter the bathtub: treatment masks are still available to address certain issues, but ozone therapy cannot be performed.
It should also be noted that ozone does not treat fleas and ticks.
Any dog with parasites will be refused entry to the salon: if we notice them during grooming, the session is shortened and the dog is returned to its owner so that it can be treated beforehand.
How long does a session last?
Allow on average between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the size of the animal and the protocol followed.
Does ozone therapy replace veterinary advice?
No, this wellness treatment enhances the animal's comfort but never replaces a veterinary diagnosis or treatment. If you have any doubts about your pet's health, consult your veterinarian first.
